Bank Reconciliations

 

Our analysis of technology support calls to Strata Management software vendors indicates that while most are proficient in entering transactions in their Strata management systems, many struggle to know what to do when bank reconciliation discrepancies occur. While it is recommended that bank reconciliations are checked daily, only 25% of Strata Managers do this. 50% check bank reconciliations weekly while the remaining 25% do bank reconciliations monthly.

Split Electronic Files by Strata Plan

 

One of the advantages of using Strata management systems is the ability of running various reports across the organisations entire portfolio or a particular strata manager’s portfolio rather than process reports one Strata Plan at a time. Some of the more common reports are Financial Statements, Bank Statements and Management Fees.

 

This issue with this approach is that while it is efficient to run all the reports at once, the ability to easily sort these reports by Strata Plan without having to print them is difficult. Most Strata Managers resort to saving each report on disk one Strata Plan at a time.
